The vinyl floor is textured to give slip resistance.  It is also foam-backed to help reduce noise.

The desks are on casters so they can be easily rearranged. The laminate surface of the desks is more comfortable to write on than the hard plastic desks often seen in schools and the dark wood color hides graffiti until it can be cleaned off.  The chairs are fully adjustable to accommodate the many sizes and shapes of high school students.
Front of a typical classroom
The ceiling clouds help the acoustics in the room while being more visually appealing than the typical 2' x 2' acoustic ceiling tiles.

The tables can be moved around for students to work in different sized groups outside of the classroom.  There are no lockers in the hallways; they are all in locker bays like the one seen here.  This prevents traffic jams in the hallways as well as the echo of slamming doors down the corridor.

The blue hallway
Each hallway in the school has a different color and pattern to help with wayfinding.  The walls have a commercial grade textured wallcovering to be more texturally appealing.  Built-in display cases show off student work.
